Now, we’ll discuss different email design tools you can use.
- Graphic Design Tool — When you need to create logos, edit images, or create graphic headers for your email, you’ll need a tool to help (unless you’re a pro with Adobe). Fortunately, there are a lot of easy-to-use, mostly free, graphic design tools at your disposal. Two of our favorites are Canva and Sketch.
- Email Pre-Checker — Having another set of eyes on your email (even if it’s a robot’s eyes) can help ensure you don’t make silly mistakes. With a tool like Litmus or Email On Acid, you can automatically pre-check your emails and make sure everything is good to go before you click send. That includes checking your design, your coding, and potential spam problems.
- Design Templates — If you’re not a designer, there’s good news. Most high-quality ESPs will provide you with design templates for your email campaigns. Your options will vary from single-column simple to three-column complex. I recommend sticking with the simpler templates so that you don’t unintentionally clutter your emails with too many design elements. When it comes to the design of your emails, less is more.
